“The Pearl of Our Motherland – Wonderful Capital”
The high buildings and beautiful
parks being constructed in Ashgabat, the capital of our Motherland, which is
confidently moving along the path of great progress, are a sign of well-being
and peace. Of course, in the “International
Year of Peace and Trust”, hearts of the Turkmen
people are full with pride for our Homeland, for our great past, happy present
and bright future.
Our Ashgabat capital, the center of
beauty, was included in the Guinness Book of World Records on May 25, 2013 as
the city with the largest number of marble buildings. Thanks to the National
Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and esteemed President Arkadagly
Hero Serdar, every year Ashgabat City Day is celebrated with great events and
ceremonies. Today, the capital city is widely known throughout the world as a
center of reconciliation, a birthplace of peace-loving ideas that affect the
life of countries and peoples of the world.
On the occasion of Ashgabat City Day,
the pride of the country, the pearl of Asia, an exhibition of art works
entitled “The Pearl of Our Motherland – Wonderful Capital” was organized at the
Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. The exhibited works reflect the unique
architectural features of the capital, its natural beauty, mountain ranges, and
peaceful sky in a harmony of colors. In addition, works of ceramic and
sculptural art reflecting the traditions and customs of the Turkmen people
featured on the exhibition. The purity of the Ashgabat city in the works of
art, along with the wonderful harmony of fountains, immerses the viewer in a
meaningful context. This in turn inspires artists and master painters to create
new masterpieces.
